Discover who you are beyond who the world told you to be.
Welcome!
The Healing Collective is a group therapy practice providing services to individuals, relationships, and groups. Each of our therapists brings their own unique skills and expertise, but we all share the same core beliefs:
You do not need to be “fixed.”
We welcome and accept you as you are.
Many people come to therapy hoping to become a different version of themselves. We often hear, “If I could just fix this part of me, things would be ok.” And while therapy can support change, many of the things we want to “fix” are normal reactions to life’s experiences or just simply part of who we are.
We focus on your strengths, values, and practicing radical acceptance instead of telling you what’s “wrong.” Through this approach, we build self-awareness, reconnect your mind and body, and challenge unhelpful ideas about how you "should” be.
Healing happens through connection.
When we carry pain alone, it can lead to disconnection - from others and ourselves. We believe healing happens collectively; we share our pain so we can share our joy. In turn, we can be present for others, too. While we may only walk with you for part of your healing journey, we’re here to explore connection and help you repair or create relationships that support your growth.
The mental health care system needs a change.
No therapist gets into this work for the love of diagnosing or dealing with insurance red tape. The current mental health care system encourages high caseloads and fast-paced care. This approach leaves clients feeling unseen and passionate therapists burned out.
Every member of The Healing Collective is a licensed social worker, and we are committed to addressing systemic changes are necessary for individuals to thrive. This practice is one way of challenging the current medical model. Healing is life-long, and no therapy services will be the “final” stop. We encourage slowing down as part of healing and understanding that it is a life-long journey. We are working to re-imagine therapy services outside of managed care.
